We stayed bear country for my bonus daughter’s birthday weekend. We love winter sports, and a perfect place for it. While it wasn’t right off of the snowmobile trails it was close enough. It was close to skiing, ice-skating, snowshoeing and so much more. The home is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. We loved it! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking! We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for a snowmobiling trip, and the cabin is right on the trail with easy access to many bars and restaurants. I highly recommend this cabin if you are planning a snowmobile trip in north Wisconsin.

Perfect location to explore the area, in particular we were in Winchester, WI for our annual winter visit the WinMan Trails (X-Country Skiing, Snow Shoeing, Sledding and Fat Tire Biking) is less than a five (5) minute drive from the home. The house itself is well designed, appointed and very spacious. Our group was very happy and comfortable during our two (2) night stay.

House was just as described & very well stocked. jumped on the snowmobile trails right across the road from the driveway & gas was within a mile or so. Owners were excellent about responding quickly. Plenty of parking and a good amount of bars/restaurants nearby and in Manitowish Waters as well. Entry way had lots of room for our gear, shelves for helmets, boot dryers & a bench to sit down while getting ready -great space! Great home, thank you!!

The room brought me back to my childhood when we rented cabins in Minnesota with my Grandparents. It was a winter wonderland. They had 30 plus inches of snow just before we arrived. I would love to go this summer and experience the lake.

Have stayed here many times and will continue to go back! There is a special charm that comes with this place that is hard to describe but it’s so comforting. The location is so convenient with the WinMan Trails right down the road and downtown Manitowish only a few miles away as well.

My crew and I stayed here while we worked on a job site in the area. It worked out perfectly for us and was a great place to relax at the end of every day. I'm hoping to rent this place again in the future to stay for a vacation, maybe get some fishing done!

This house has it all! Six bedrooms with two beds in each room and a private en-suite bath for each room. It’s like having 6 hotel rooms in a beautiful home with all the amenities you need! Great for friends or families traveling together. Note that there isn’t a bathtub in any of the rooms if you are traveling with young children. The only caveat I would add. The host very responsive when we had a drain plug stuck down in a bathroom sink. No weekend exceptions to fixes with Bear Country. The huge main floor had plenty of room to be together but not on top of each other. Kitchen and dining area amazing. Restaurant across the street has great pizza and casual dining menu too. We’d for sure return here in the future.

Awesome place in a really great location. On a chain of lakes, close to shops, restaurants and some of the best biking trails in Wisconsin if not the entire Midwest.
